Hey guys, this post is just going to serve as a bit of a "what new is going on here at Fringe?" type post to keep you informed, as well as to remind you what you [hopefully] should be doing with your time here online!

News:

School Re-Opening
We are planning on re-opening the school that unfortunately had been shut down not so long ago. This time, however, we are going to be taking it much more seriously. We are planning on having it hosted by a staff member (to make sure stuff gets done): Kav. Whoever Kav picks to help out will do so; so far Amanda is on the list and Tutors will be hired along the way. We assure you, this tutoring system will be much more successful than the last one! It will be similar, but simplified. There will still be a set number of tutors trained up by Kav, but there will be an infinite number of student spots - that's right, rolling admission! No longer will you get turned down because there is no room! Stay tuned for the school release later tonight / tomorrow!

Questions Board
We want you members to be able to ask any of the staff any questions you may have, at any time! So, we've opened the Questions Galore! forum with a pinned topic for each of the staff. Any member may ask us a question, OR open their own thread so they may be asked questions! Ask away!

Site Development Ideas
We just want to keep you updated: The staff has been discussing ways to increase draw to Fringe, and Fringe's place in the graphic art community. We all know there are plenty of sites for renders, but how many sites have genuinely huge, awesome stock collections? Well, we are planning (in the near future!) on integrating the stock garage more with the site, making it a key component of why people come here to Fringe. Additionally, we will sort through the entire database and delete any and all stocks that aren't up to a very high usage level. Be expecting the ability for users to submit stocks of their own to the garage. More changes are coming up very soon, including integrating the garage with the actual site design...it should be exciting!

Site-Wide Competition
There are about seven spots left for the site-wide competition. Please note that the competition will be spread out over about two months, so it's not like you will be hit with so much tag-making at once that you won't be able to handle it! If that's what was keeping you from signing up, we urge you to sign up here! It will be a lot of fun and include awesome prizes, not to mention extreme bragging rights as you move up in the bracket!

Referral Competition
Three days left! Ending on February 11th, he with the most referrals will walk away with either $15 or a fresh FFX T-Shirt! For more information, see this topic; It's not too late to pull ahead, mind you! The leader only has 8 referrals, so beat that and you can come out #1!

Photoshop You Friend!
We've had a surprisingly low number of photoshop your friend entries. You have until February 23rd, and can submit as many entries as you can make! I mean heck, we even provided the pictures of every site member right there in the thread! You have the chance of winning a dA subscription or a premium rapidshare account if one of your entries is voted the best by our members! Get to it guys!



In other news, toothfish has been demoted from staff and we are discussing our other options as to what we are going to do. For now, the entire staff is going to be working on the Stock Garage. In the future, we have some plans laid out as to how we are going to get the stock garage updated (partly with your submissions!) so stay tuned!
