Welcome to FringeFX's weekly announcement with the run-down of the winners of all our site's ongoing competitions. Here you will see everyone who's walked away with points, medals, and other awards for their ongoing participation in the site. Feel free to enter any of these competitions at your leisure, as they can all be found in the "Proving Grounds" forum category.
In addition to submitting StripeVine Newsletter articles and posting in our GFX-related forums, winning these competitions can help you along your ever-lasting quest of earning points to be spent in the Members Trading post.

Weekly CnC Award

Description:
The weekly CnC award is all about the Commenting and Critiquing that goes on in our Small Art and our Large Art and Photography forums. Do not think that your CnCing in these sections goes un-noticed. The FringeFX staff gets together each week to discuss who posted not only the most but also the most thorough CnC during the course of that week, and the winner receives some nice prizes. CnC is what makes this art forum go 'round, so thank you for your contributions this week - and enjoy your prizes!

Welcome to FringeFX.net. We'd like to take this opportunity to explain a bit about what we do here. FringeFX is a place where many GFXers, Photographers, and other Artists call their home. We cater to these artists in particular: Photoshop and GIMP users (large canvas artists, tag makers) and Photographers of all types. Don't feel like continuing to read? Feel free to jump right to our forum index where you can begin to participate!

What can FringeFX do for you? We offer a wide range of resources for you to use at your disposal to help you improve personally as an artist and/or photographer. For those more GFX term-savvy, we have thousands upon thousands of stocks, PSD's, brushes, tutorials, anything you could imagine to aid you in your graphic designing.

Our impact on the graphics and art world doesn't stop there. We strive to stretch the boundaries of any individual artist. We aren't about letting an artist stay within his style comfort zone; with our competitions geared towards themes, styles, and other limitations on a weekly or biweekly basis, you will always have something to do here at Fringe. We may even ask you to mimic another GFX style in one of our rotating competitions, to try something you've never done before. On that note, we don't leave you out to dry. If you need help, we're here to provide you with you one-on-one tutoring with one of our talented tutors. We hope you'll use these resources to their fullest potential, and use FringeFX as a platform to gain inspiration, increase your talent, and produce amazing works of art.

All of this and more is waiting for you at FringeFX. If you haven't done so already, we encourage you to sign up. Additionally, if you're already a member, we hope you are enjoying your stay. Oh, and we didn't copy the name "Fringe" from the TV show - we thought of it first ;)
